Tim has an extensive connection with players in the market of commercial developments: relationships with architects, engineers, larger commercial general contractors and developers in California and beyond. There is a tremendous effort underway in the industry to look closely at lower carbon solutions. Many firms have committed to specific carbon reduction goals, with those who have been committed to the 2030 net zero carbon initiative being the soonest target date. A major player in the drive for lower carbon solutions is the California Nevada Cement Association( CNCA). They have been a champion of Portland Limestone Cement, which allows for an approximate 10 percent in carbon reduction. While there are other innovations that will help drive lower carbon goals, this is one that is available in the Southern California market that can make a difference now in 2024. As the image at right of the well known Bixby Bridge in Big Sur on the California coast represents, cement is a long valued building material, and when it can be produced with a sensitivity to protecting the preservation of the life balance with nature, we can build for the future with ever increasing solutions for reduced carbon omissions and a healthier planet.
