After graduating from UC at Berkeley with a degree in architecture, Tim started his career in real estate in 1974 with Coldwell Banker Commercial in San Jose. He gained expertise in leasing, sales, and exchanging. He then worked for Century Partners, underwriting and preparing for acquisition pre sale apartment complexes and office parks.
He next became director of Acquistions for NBS Realty Advisors, where he managed the acquisition of 60 million in real estate for the City of San Jose Pension Funds, including office , retail and industrial property. Among them, and pictured to the right, was the purchase of Pine Grove Office Complex in Orinda in 1990 for approximately 20 million. In a later chapter on the residential sector, he helped dozens of executives with the purchase of their homes here in Silicon Valley, and quickly became known as a connector to Silicon Valley executives who he represented.
